Alexandra’s still getting her groove back

Results after five weeks: Getting healthy in the office and at home. Lost a couple more pounds as a side benefit to eating Iris and yellow roses2015healthy.

Yesterday I made a Paleo dish of Chicken Bacon Stew, feeds five or six easy. I am having guests for dinner tonight so I could use the extra servings in the recipe. There will probably be enough to freeze a serving for a quick meal if I choose. It has winter squash, carrots, sweet potatoes and onions. The recipe is for a slow cooker, but I used the oven. It still took about four hours to cook in the over. You can box a few meals to take to work instead of eating fast food.

I haven’t figured out if the Super Cleanse I did for 21 days stopped the sugar cravings or eating Paleo eliminates them, but I have no desire to eat sugar. Yippee! However I don’t buy any doughnuts to put in my lunch bag. My money is on the Super Cleanse.

There are many versions on the internet for the Super Cleanse and you can read them all and decide. I am sure any of them work. Here is the recipe for Super Cleanse that I used and most people use. The main difference is the water.

2 Tablespoons of Lemon or Lime juice and 2 Tablespoons of grade B Maple Syrup to 10 ounces of water. I mixed up a gallon at a time and it was enough for two days. That’s a cup and a half of juice and cup and half of maple syrup in a gallon container with 12 med. pinches of cayenne pepper.

Amazingly you will not be hungry. Drink plenty of water and tea between your glasses of Juice. If diabetic you may need to ask your doctor before doing the Super cleanse.
